The Hobbledehoy are reading too many reports of Americans freaking out over their Covid-19 confinement. We know it is difficult, but please stay inside and heed the advice of health experts.

Watch a movie – perhaps a classic like Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds. When you come to the scene at the Bodega Bay diner, ask yourself, “Do want want to be strong, caring and resourceful like “Mitch”, or do I want to be the ‘Hysterical Lady’?”

The actress Doreen Lang played the “hysterical mother” (aka “Crazy Lady”) brilliantly, did she not?

Actress says she repelled advances on The Birds set but film crew dispute story.

Cinema historians, former cast and crew and Alfred Hitchcock’s official biographer have rushed to the defence of the director after claims that he sexually harassed and bullied actress Tippi Hedren during the filming of The Birds in the 1960s
