The annual Evening Standard British Film Awards are nearly upon us, and today the newspaper has unveiled its long form list of this year’s nominees.In contention for the top prize of Best Film include animation Ethel & Ernest, Palme d’Or winner I, Daniel Blake, and box-office smash Bridget Jones’s Baby. Independent offering such as Lady Macbeth and The Girl with All the Gifts are also in the running for a number of awards on the night.The shortlist will be announced in the paper next Thursday.
