I had the privilege of hosting WRIU’s “Kingston Coffeehouse this week, and a fine time was had by all. We played choice cuts from ’60s-era Greenwich Village; a set of country-bluesman Mississippi John Hurt’s music; my favorite covers of Mr. Bob Dylan; traditional Hawaiian music; ‘American Primitive’ guitar thrashings; and two new voices from Ireland’s “trad music” scene.
