The Late Late Show tribute was fascinating, great, tear-jerking and lovely. I don’t think we’ll ever know if there were attempts at harnessing his self-destructive tendencies, attempted interventions or anything like that. He gave us great art while he could, I guess, is the best way to think of him. He is a true folk hero to me.
