Reading Michael Palin’s memoir of his Monty Python years (“Diaries 1969-1979“) Palin shares some great stories, including the evening he receives a phone call from George Harrison who requests a meeting with his favorite Python “to chat and have a beer.” (Oh, to be in that pub in 1972!)
This video clip, from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, is a Python classic! Both Palin and Eric Idle are absolutely hilarious. Whenever my wife and I cannot properly communicate some important idea with each other, we always end-up doing this skit (“Just make sure he doesn’t leave!”) and having a laugh.
