The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain have been playing together since 1985 and though the group’s lineup has changed several times over the years, the one constant has been the ubiquitous strum of the (wait for it…) ukulele.
The band here performs Issac Hayes’ classic “Theme from Shaft” (Rest in Peace actor Richard Roundtree)
The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain also has brilliantly covered the Sex Pistol’s “Anarchy in the UK,” as well as uke treatments of Tchaikovsky, Nirvana and Ennio Morricone (search out their performance of “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.”)
